The National Coffee Association (NCA) of the United States has announced the recipients of its prestigious annual awards, which will be celebrated at the upcoming NCA convention scheduled for March 7 in Houston. This year’s honorees include Allan Colley, a significant figure in the warehousing and logistics sector, and Kyle Bawot, a dedicated contributor to the green coffee trading industry.

Allan Colley, who has served as the head of Dupuy, a leading warehousing and logistics company, will receive the 2025 NCA Distinguished Leadership Award. Meanwhile, Kyle Bawot, associated with the green coffee trading company Ofi, is to be honored with the 2025 NCA Volunteer of the Year Award.

Additionally, the farmer-focused lending organization Root Capital will be recognized as the NCA’s “Origin Charity of the Year.” It is important to note that Root Capital’s primary mission as a nonprofit revolves around providing loans and advisory services aimed at fostering positive social impact, rather than traditional charitable giving.

Root Capital

Root Capital has achieved remarkable success, having loaned over $2 billion to more than 800 agricultural enterprises, with a strong emphasis on supporting the coffee sector. This significant financial support empowers farmers and promotes sustainable practices within the industry.
