ESSFeed exists to give supply chain professionals accurate, timely and useful intelligence. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
Accuracy first
- We report what can be verified. Where a figure or claim can’t be confirmed, we say so, use general terms, or leave it out.
- We clearly separate facts from forecasts. Projections and “if this happens” scenarios are labelled as such.
- Our articles include a sources table, and where data has limitations, we add a data note explaining them.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are made by ESSFeed alone. Advertisers and sponsors do not choose, review or approve our news coverage, and paying for a sponsorship does not buy favourable reporting.
Sponsored content
Sponsored placements in our newsletters and on our website are always clearly labelled as sponsored. We do not present advertising as independent journalism.
How we produce our content
Our coverage is led by an editorial team with long experience in international food trading, procurement and supply chains, supported by freelance journalists and analysts. We use research and technology tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help monitor sources and draft content. Every article is reviewed and checked by our editorial team before publication.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. When we correct a factual error in an article, we update the article and note the correction at the end. To report an error, email support@essfeed.com with a link to the article and details of the problem.
Contributors
We welcome pitches from journalists, analysts and industry experts who write about food, agriculture, pharmaceuticals or logistics. Contributors must disclose any commercial interests related to their topic. Send pitches to support@essfeed.com.
PAGE 4: Advertising Policy
ESSFeed offers sponsorship placements across our seven daily newsletters. These rules apply to all advertising.
How advertising appears
- All sponsored content is clearly labelled as sponsored.
- Sponsorships appear in set placements: top of issue, mid-content and footer in our newsletters, and in designated areas on our website.
- Sponsored messages are kept visually separate from our editorial content.
Editorial independence
Sponsors do not influence our news coverage. Buying a placement does not give an advertiser any say over what we report and we do not offer positive coverage in exchange for advertising.
What we accept
We accept advertising from businesses relevant to professionals in food, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, logistics and certain products or services targeted to affluent professionals. We reserve the right to decline any advertisement, including advertising that:
- is misleading, inaccurate or unlawful
- promotes products in breach of regulations in the markets we serve, including rules on prescription medicines
- conflicts with the interests of our readers
Your data
We do not share subscriber names or email addresses with advertisers. Performance reporting to sponsors is based on aggregated figures, such as impressions, opens and clicks.
