Bauducco Foods, a global company known for its baked goods, recently announced the groundbreaking of its newest production and distribution facility in Zephyrhills, Florida. Founded in 1952 by Italian immigrant Carlo Bauducco in São Paulo, Bauducco has grown into a family business now in its third generation, producing over 400,000 tons of baked goods annually. After conducting an extensive analysis of potential sites across seven states, Zephyrhills was selected as the ideal location for the new facility. Stefano Mozzi, CEO of Bauducco USA, praised the business-friendly environment and the support received from the state, county, and city business development teams as key factors in choosing Zephyrhills for the investment. The facility will be situated on 72 acres at the Zephyrhills Airport Industrial Park Ready Site and is expected to require an investment of over $200 million for production and distribution of products including biscuits, wafers, and Panettones.

The groundbreaking of Bauducco Foods’ facility in Zephyrhills has been met with enthusiasm by local officials. Mayor Melonie Bahr Monson expressed excitement for the economic growth and job opportunities that the investment will bring to the city. The facility will be developed in three phases, with the first phase projected to be operational by mid-2026, creating approximately 600 new jobs in the Tampa Bay area.

City Manager Billy Poe highlighted the business-friendly environment and commitment to economic development in Zephyrhills as factors that attracted Bauducco Foods to the area. Pasco County Commissioner Ron Oakley also welcomed the global leader to the community, recognizing the economic opportunities that the investment will bring.
