The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) will proceed as scheduled from January 28-30, 2025 in Atlanta, despite recent detections of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Georgia. The Georgia Department of Agriculture has suspended all poultry exhibitions that involve live birds, such as shows, swaps, meets, and sales. However, Commissioner Tyler Harper has confirmed that this suspension does not apply to IPPE, as no live birds will be present at the Expo.
“After reviewing the programming scheduled for IPPE and confirming that no live birds will be present at the Expo, we have determined that none of the programming at IPPE could be considered a ‘suspended’ activity. As such, we look forward to having IPPE proceed as scheduled, and I look forward to joining you and the many others at the Expo which will showcase the future of the poultry industry,” Harper stated.
The organizers of IPPE regularly implement good biosecurity protocols and are encouraging all attendees to make use of the biosecurity measures that will be in place around the Georgia World Congress Center during the 2025 IPPE. These measures include foot cleaning mats and hand sanitizer stations. Attendees are also strongly advised to avoid contact with poultry, pigs, and other livestock for at least three to five days before visiting IPPE. Additionally, it is recommended that vehicles that have been on a farm be cleaned and disinfected before being driven to IPPE.
“We are pleased that the 2025 IPPE will continue as planned and will do our part to be good partners in our efforts to curb the virus, adhering to our biosecurity preparedness plans,” said the IPPE show organizers.
The 2025 IPPE will boast more than 597,900 square feet of exhibit space and will feature over 1,380 exhibitors. IPPE is a combination of three trade shows – the International Feed Expo, International Poultry Expo, and International Meat Expo – representing the entire chain of protein production and processing. The 2025 IPPE is proudly sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association, the Meat Institute, and the US Poultry & Egg Association.
Overall, the 2025 IPPE is set to be an exceptional event that showcases the latest innovations and developments in the poultry industry. Attendees can expect a comprehensive exhibition featuring leading companies and experts in the field. With strict biosecurity measures in place and the support of industry partners, IPPE is committed to providing a safe and informative experience for all participants.
