North America’s 50 Best Bars, sponsored by Perrier, is set to make its return for the fourth edition in April 2025. This three-day event program will be hosted in Vancouver, marking the first time in the history of North America’s 50 Best Bars that the prestigious awards will take place in Canada. The awards ceremony is scheduled for April 29, 2025.

North America’s 50 Best Bars aims to shine a spotlight on excellence within the bar industry, focusing specifically on establishments in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The inaugural awards ceremony took place in New York City in 2022, followed by San Miguel de Allende in 2023 and 2024.

Emma Sleight, head of Content for North America’s 50 Best Bars, expressed excitement about bringing the awards to Canada for the first time. Vancouver, known for its vibrant cocktail culture, breathtaking natural landscapes, and exceptional hospitality offerings, provides the perfect backdrop to celebrate the talent and innovation within the industry on a global scale. The event will recognize the individuals and establishments that continue to elevate North America as a leader in the world of hospitality.

The event program will feature various highlights, including the Bartenders’ Feast held the night before the unveiling of North America’s 50 Best Bars 2025. This will be followed by a live countdown and the awards ceremony itself on April 29, culminating in the announcement of The Best Bar in North America 2025 and other special award winners. This year, the list has been expanded to include the 51-100 ranking to acknowledge the growth of the cocktail scene.

Royce Chwin, president & CEO of Destination Vancouver, expressed pride in hosting North America’s 50 Best Bars for the first time in the city. The multi-day event will showcase the exceptional talent and creativity of Vancouver’s hospitality and mixology scene, highlighting the city’s culinary culture, diverse communities, and innovative spirit. As a global destination, Vancouver is eager to collaborate with industry leaders to create memorable experiences for all attendees.

Before the awards ceremony, 50 Best will announce special award winners to recognize outstanding achievements in the industry. These include the Michter’s Art of Hospitality award, voted on by members of the North America’s 50 Best Bars Academy, and the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender award, voted on by bartenders on this year’s list.

North America’s 50 Best Bars provides a platform to celebrate excellence across the continent while showcasing the unique offerings of Vancouver’s hospitality scene. The event promises to be a celebration of talent, innovation, and creativity within the industry, further solidifying North America’s position as a leader in the world of hospitality.
