Miznon, the globally renowned fast-casual concept by Michelin-starred chef Eyal Shani, has recently opened its newest location at Toronto’s Union Station Foodie Aisle. This exciting launch coincides with the second anniversary of its first Canadian spot in Yorkville. The restaurant is set to introduce three exclusive, limited-edition pitas, with each pita rolling out sequentially over the first three weeks.

The Adom Pita, the first of the exclusive offerings, features hanger steak sliced and tossed with tomato, onion, scallions, and chili pepper, all served in a pita with tahini and Miznon’s spicy green sauce. The Adom Veggie pita is also available for those looking for a vegetarian option. In addition to these unique pitas, Miznon Union offers a convenient grab-and-go counter with salads and daily prepped portions of hummus.

Spanning 2,470 sq. ft., Miznon Union provides ample space for up to 55 people with family-style seating, as well as casual seating options for individual diners and guests on the go. The restaurant features electronic ordering stations for self-service and overhead racks above the bar for openly displaying vegetables such as sweet potatoes and whole cauliflowers. Produce like tomatoes and chilies are also incorporated into the decor, adding a touch of freshness to the space.

One of the highlights of Miznon’s menu is its signature pita crafted specifically for each city to reflect its unique culinary culture. Toronto’s signature creation, the Smoked Maple Steak Pita, also known as Toronto Smoke, is exclusive to Miznon Toronto. This special pita features smoked brisket drizzled with Ontario maple syrup and topped with garlic aioli, mustard, and pickles.

In addition to the signature pita, Miznon offers a variety of other favorites, including the Run Over Potato, a flattened baked potato topped with sour cream, garlic, dill, and scallions, as well as the Bag of Green Beans, featuring green beans with a hint of lemon, salt, and olive oil. The Original Whole Roasted Baby Cauliflower, recognized by Food & Wine magazine as one of their 40 Best, is also a popular choice. Exclusive to the Miznon North America menu are the Bag of Golden Meat, consisting of overnight brisket and onions seared on a hot skillet with aioli, and the Candy Steak pita, featuring charred overnight brisket, aioli, mustard, pickles, tomato, and red onion.

Eli Benchetrit, president of Miznon Canada, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to introduce Miznon to visitors passing through Union Station. He emphasized the importance of making Miznon’s vibrant flavors and energy more accessible to Torontonians, hoping that they will continue to embrace the unique culinary experience offered by the restaurant.

In conclusion, Miznon’s newest location at Union Station promises to be a hub of culinary delight, offering exclusive pitas, fresh and flavorful dishes, and a vibrant dining experience that reflects the spirit of Toronto’s culinary scene. Guests can enjoy a variety of unique creations crafted by Michelin-starred chef Eyal Shani, all within a welcoming and stylish space designed for both communal and individual dining.
