Nominations are now open for the 2025 Influential Women in Canadian Agriculture (IWCA) program, which is in its sixth year of recognizing and celebrating women in all sectors of agriculture in Canada. This includes farm owners, researchers, business leaders, advocates, and more. The honourees are chosen based on their significant impact in their respective fields and communities as leaders and innovators.

Each year, the IWCA honourees are featured through a podcast series and interviews, leading up to a virtual summit in the fall. The summit includes panels, keynotes, and other engaging content. Past honourees have included notable figures such as Farm Management Canada executive director Heather Watson, University of Guelph professor Tina Widowski, Livestock Water Recycling co-founder and CEO Karen Schuett, and OPACA and LICO executive director Mel Luymes.

The nomination process for the 2025 IWCA program opened on February 1 and will remain open until March 30. The honourees will be selected by mid-April, and the content featuring them will be rolled out throughout the summer. The 2025 IWCA Summit is scheduled to take place on October 21.
