The CMT1, a breakthrough tool for condensation removal in food processing plants, will make its debut at the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta from January 28-30. This innovative product has been recognized as one of the “20 Best New Products” at the expo and will be showcased for attendees in the poultry, protein, deli-meat, and food processing industries.

Developed to work in conjunction with TheSuper, a polymer sponge, the CMT1 is engineered with a permanent Biomaster612 silver-ion treatment. TheSuper sponge is known for its ability to swiftly absorb moisture on contact and will now be treated with the same Biomaster612, enhancing its performance. Currently utilized in poultry plants, TheSuper sponge effectively reduces the risk of contaminated water splashing during cleaning processes.

The CMT1 is designed to securely hold TheSuper sponge on a telescopic handle for cleaning hard-to-reach areas at elevated heights. Constructed with rust-proof, food-grade fiberglass reinforced Nylon 66, the CMT1 is shatterproof and can withstand temperatures as low as minus 20 Fahrenheit. The attachment of TheSuper to the CMT1 is facilitated by four stainless steel screws (included), ensuring a stable connection to the telescopic pole.

David Anderson, CEO of TheSuper.com, expressed the success of TheSuper in poultry companies and highlighted the collaborative development of the CMT1 with leading food-processing plants. The combination of the CMT1 and TheSuper sponge effectively addresses concerns related to the spread of food-borne pathogens through condensation. By swiftly removing condensation from ceilings and equipment, the CMT1 and TheSuper sponge aid in preventing the transmission of pathogens such as e-coli. Additionally, the system accelerates post-sanitation drying, facilitating faster release of production areas, and simplifies the cleaning of pipes, walls, and overhead lights.

The sponges designed for use with the CMT1 are available in 11-inch and 16-inch models, with a new 7-inch model set to launch in early 2025.

The food processing industry confronts various challenges related to food contamination exacerbated by condensation. These challenges include condensation resulting from the infiltration of warm outside air into refrigerated spaces, the operation of air conditioning systems in areas where food products are cooled, the use of unsanitary cleaning tools, residual moisture from cleaning activities, and efforts to mitigate condensation caused by weather conditions.

The CMT1 addresses these challenges by eliminating the need for twist ties and other potentially unsanitary cleanup clamps. Proven effective in pilot programs across the country, the CMT1 is now available for nationwide adoption.

In conclusion, the CMT1 represents a significant advancement in condensation removal technology for the food processing industry. By combining innovative design with high-quality materials, this tool offers a practical solution to the challenges posed by condensation-related contamination. Its debut at the 2025 IPPE promises to showcase its capabilities to industry professionals and highlight its potential to enhance sanitation practices in food processing plants.
