The Institute of Hospitality Golf Day 2025, in partnership with Meiko UK, will feature a new addition this year – the longest putt challenge. Taking place on the 8th of May at The Belfry, golfers will have the opportunity to test their skills on a 100-foot putt, overseen by Neil Walker, Account Director of Golf at The Belfry.

Sponsored by the Accessible Hospitality Alliance, the longest putt challenge aims to highlight the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in accessing hospitality services and pursuing careers in the industry. Chair of the Accessible Hospitality Alliance, Robin Sheppard, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the hospitality sector, stating that more needs to be done to improve guest experiences and create more inclusive workplaces.

Robert Richardson, Chief Executive of the Institute of Hospitality, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the business benefits of accessible hospitality. He highlighted the importance of designing inclusive experiences that resonate with all customers, driving loyalty, engagement, and innovation.

The winner of the longest putt challenge will be awarded a bottle of champagne and a trophy at the evening dinner. The Belfry, known for hosting the Ryder Cup four times, is the exclusive venue for the Institute of Hospitality Golf Day 2025.
