GLOBALG.A.P., a leading organization dedicated to the certification of agricultural products, is excited to announce the launch of its next-generation IT platform on March 1, 2025. This significant advancement is a result of a long-term partnership with Osapiens, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of certification and audit management.
The new platform is designed to consolidate various certification processes into a single, user-friendly interface. The goal is to streamline operations and provide a quicker, more intuitive method for accessing certification data. This innovation is expected to bolster integrity and transparency within global supply chains, addressing one of the critical needs in modern agricultural trade.
Key Features of the New Platform
The next-generation GLOBALG.A.P. IT platform will incorporate two primary systems:
CertifierOS
CertifierOS is tailored for certification bodies (CBs) allowing them to manage producer master data, conduct audits, and issue certificates efficiently. A mobile application that is compatible with all major operating systems will also be made available, enabling CBs to perform audits in offline settings, thereby enhancing flexibility and accessibility.
Supply Chain Portal
The Supply Chain Portal is designed to empower various stakeholders, including CBs, retailers, supply chain participants, and the general public. This portal will facilitate the search for GLOBALG.A.P. identification numbers, validate certificates, and provide bookmarking services for ease of access.
Additionally, the Certification Body Administration Tool (CB-AT) will continue to function as usual, allowing CBs to register and manage auditors, upload qualifications, and enroll in training programs. This ensures that while many processes are being upgraded, the essential functions of CB-AT remain intact during this transition.
Transition Timeline
As of March 1, 2025, CertifierOS will fully replace the current Audit Online Hub. The migration of users and roles has already been completed, with auditor qualifications linked to the CB-AT system. Different user roles will be assigned distinct profiles, each with specific access rights tailored to their needs.
The Supply Chain Portal will take over from the existing GLOBALG.A.P. database starting April 1, 2025. From this date forward, all certification activities will be exclusively executed within the new GLOBALG.A.P. IT platform, ensuring a seamless transition to the new system.
