The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) has announced that it will be changing the name of its conference from GOAL to The Responsible Seafood Summit.
According to the company, the new name better represents its mission to promote responsible seafood production to meet global needs for farmed and wild seafood. The conference will take place in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada from October 2-5, 2023, and GSA has also redesigned its logo to feature a “familiar fish icon.”
The CEO of GSA, Brian Perkins, stated that the conference will continue to bring together industry leaders to discuss key issues shaping the future of the seafood industry and to promote collaboration and dialogue. Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association Executive Director Susan Farquharson also added that the conference’s new location in Atlantic Canada embodies the vision of a science-based, collaborative approach to sustainable seafood production.
