JBS USA, a leading global food company, and Völur, a US-based software company with headquarters in Norway, have signed a proof of value (POV) agreement to test improvements in the sorting and cutting of carcasses to optimize the use of each animal at the operational level.

Following a successful proof of concept (POC), JBS USA is partnering with Völur to use its AI technology to increase the value of each carcass and meet customer demands.

The POV phase will take place at JBS USA’s Hyrum, Utah plant for six months and will be hosted on Microsoft Azure cloud.

At the end of the POV phase, JBS USA and Völur aim to scale the implementation of the Völur solution to other JBS USA plants.

Völur’s AI solution enables better planning and scheduling, improves the balance between supply and demand, and increases the value of finished products.
