Global food company BRF S.A. has announced that its production facility in Chapeco, Brazil is now authorized to export turkey to Mexico. On September 16, the National Service for Health, Safety and Food Quality (Senasica) granted approval.
The Chapecó facility is his second BRF site qualified to export turkeys to Mexico. In 2021, Mexico will start importing turkeys from Brazil’s Francisco Beltran. “The new permit gives us the flexibility to track market fluctuations and the agility to capitalize on the best opportunities,” said BRF.
BRF operates 35 manufacturing facilities and 20 distribution centers in Brazil, employing over 88,000 people.
